Top 5 Easy Knots (with Bonus)

About

This blog is all about 5 easy knots you can do at home with a rope/string during Coronavirus/Covid-19. Also there is a bonus. Would you like to learn them? If you do then read this blog.

1. Overhand Knot

The first knot I’ll be showing you is the Overhand Knot. I’m going to have a standing end and a working end. The first step to complete this Overhand knot is to make a loop then thread the working end over the loop then under the loop then tighten.

This is an image of an Overhand knot.

2. Underhand Knot

This is a Underhand knot very similar to the over knot that I taught you about, which is the Overhand knot. So the first step to make a Underhand knot is to make a loop then thread the working end under the loop then over the loop after tighten.

This is an picture of the knot called the Underhand knot.

3. Figure of 8 Loop

z|So this is the third most easiest knot, which is called the Figure of 8 Loop. So the first step to make the Figure of 8 Loop is to get your working end and put it next to your standing end. Step 2 is to make a loop then thread it over then under your standing end and working end. Next thread it through the first loop you created and tighten.

This is the Figure of 8 Loop.

4. Square Knot

So this knot is a square knot. It involves a Overhand then a Underhand. This does not involve a standing end. Lets jump right into it so step one is to make an Overhand knot but do not tighten and then create a Underhand knot and now tighten.

This a photo of a Square knot.

5. Clove Hitch

This is a Clove Hitch knot the 5th easy not you need something that you can lift above the ground, standing or something you can move about. For step 1 you need to get your working end then put it over your object then pull it. Step 2 is to put it over your rope. For step 3 you need to pull it and then put it under the left side of your cross.

Bonus Thief Knot

This is a Thief knot not to get confused with the square knot. First step is to loop it back on it’s self. Second you need to get the other rope and thread it under then over then under then back over again. For step 3 you need to tighten them really tight
