Day 2 of Home Educating

Do you want to hear about day 2 of home educating through the eyes of a 10 year old? We are going to be writing a blog every day on what we have learnt. All throughout covid-19 aka coronavirus you shouldn’t worry because you need to read our blog called Coronavirus School Closure Tips

Maths

Our first subject was maths again so today we worked on percentage questions such as 60% of 80, 80% of 0, 90% of 20 and 100% of 20, which I got all of these questions right. They are grades 6 and 7. How old do you have to be in grades 6 and 7? You have to be aged 10 1/2 to 12 years old to answer the questions. I’m only 10 years old but I got them all right. There were 4 sheets with 16 questions on each and I got every single question right, which made it so I got a total of 64 marks.

Hear are some of the workings out to some of the questions.

Spelling

I got tested on some year 5 and year 6 spelling words, which I obviously got 10/10 on. Well done to me! The words that I got tested on were Yacht, Vehicle, Vegetable, Variety, Twelfth, Thorough, System, Symbol, Suggest and Sufficient. I am very good at spelling and I also like spelling because you use different methods to learn how to spell words like manufacturer and lots more words.

This is a image of the spellings that I got tested on.

Reading

I read Bad Dad again today. Who do you think wrote Bad Dad? It was David Walliams, who also writes lots of other books called Bad Dad, Slime, The Ice Monster, The beast of Buckingham Palace, The Creature Choir, The World’s Worst Teachers, Fing, Geronimo The Penguin Who Thought He Could Fly, The World’s Worst Children 2, The World’s Worst Children 3, Grandpa’s Great Escape, Awful Auntie, The Midnight Gang, Billionaire Boy, Mr Stink, The Boy in the Dress, Ratburger, Demon Dentist, Gangster Granny, The Bear Who Went Boo, The First Hippo on the Moon, The Slightly Annoying Elephant, The Queen’s Orang-Utan and Boogie Bear ect.

PE

After dinner, I went on our trampoline to do a PE lesson so I was teaching myself how to Kody, which is a front drop to a backflip. A front drop is where you bounce in the air then jump and land onto your stomach. Also I was doing Front flips, Kabooms and Arabians.

I hope you enjoyed reading about day 2 of home educating. But now go and read day 1 of home educating.
